What is the Accessibility Shortcut?

The accessibility shortcut provides a quick way to turn one or more selected accessibility settings on or off with a fairly rapid triple click of the side, top or home button, depending on which your iPhone or iPad has. To select which features the shortcut controls, go to Settings / Accessibility / Accessibility Shortcut which is close to the end of the Accessibility menu. Ensure that the item or items you want to be able to change using the Accessibility Shortcut are selected. If you choose more than one you may reorder them. If you select just one item then the triple click will toggle that setting, turning it on or off. If you choose multiple items then the triple click will display a menu. Be  aware that if VoiceOver is one of multiple items that when you use the shortcut you will be able to turn VoiceOver off using the shortcut with the assistance of VoiceOver but when you want to use the shortcut to turn VoiceOver back on you won't have VoiceOver to help you choose the correct item from the menu that appears.

The accessibility shortcut provides a quick way to turn one or more selected accessibility settings on or off with a fairly rapid triple click of the digital crown. To select which features the shortcut controls, open the Watch app on your iPhone and go to Accessibility / Accessibility Shortcut which is close to the end of the Accessibility menu. Ensure that the item or items you want to be able to change using the Accessibility Shortcut are selected. If you select just one item then a triple click of the digital crown will toggle that setting, turning it on or off. If you choose multiple items then the triple click will display a menu. Be  aware that if VoiceOver is one of multiple items that when you use the shortcut you will be able to turn VoiceOver off using the shortcut with the assistance of VoiceOver but when you want to use the shortcut to turn VoiceOver back on you won't have VoiceOver to help you choose the correct item from the menu that appears.
