How do I delete a contact?

There are two ways to delete a contact using the Contacts app or the Contacts tab of the Phone app.

For VoiceOver users: locate the contact in your list of contacts and then triple tap with one finger. You will hear a rising triple tone which indicates that a menu pop-up has appeared. Swipe right until you hear "delete contact" and then double tap. 

Alternatively, open the contact with a double tap and then begin editing by locating and double tapping the edit button near top right of the screen. You will find a delete contact button  by scrolling to the end of the screen. 

For both methods you will be asked to confirm that you want to delete the contact.

For non-VoiceOver users: Touch and hold on the contact in your list of contacts. A pop-up menu will appear. Tap the delete contact button. Alternatively, open the contact , tap on Edit and scroll to the bottom of the screen to locate and tap the delete contact button. You will be asked to confirm that you want to delete the contact.
