Finding and calling businesses with Siri

Siri can help you discover and make phone calls to tradespeople and other businesses like shops and cafes. Here are examples of requests to Siri that can help.

"Where is the nearest pharmacy?"

Siri will tell you its location and ask if that is the one you want. If you answer "no", Siri will offer another. When you answer "yes", Siri will ask you if you want it to make a phone call for you or to give you directions.

Alternatively, you could instruct Siri to "call the nearest pharmacy". You will always be given a choice.

If you want to call a shop or restaurant by name, try something like instructing Siri to "call Eastern Spice". Siri will tell you what it has found and ask you if that is the one you are looking for. If you answer "yes", Siri will make the call.

You can be more specific, for example you could instruct Siri to "call the Apple store in Leicester" or "call Emmanuel Church in Loughborough".

That's it! It's really simple and can save you ages looking up phone numbers or using directory enquiries. Don't forget that if something goes wrong, you can always answer "cancel" to any of Siri's questions.
